1. Who we are
MyBrokers Insurance (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") is an independent insurance brokerage operating in Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly, name, contact details, date of birth, driver's licence, vehicle and property information, business operations data, claims history, and payment details, as well as information from third parties such as insurers, credit bureaus, and motor vehicle registries where you have authorized us to do so. We also collect technical information such as IP address and browser type when you use our website.

We use your information to provide quotes, place coverage, service policies, handle claims, communicate with you, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our services. We will only use information for the purposes you've consented to or that are permitted under privacy law.
4. Who we share it with
We share information with insurers, reinsurers, underwriters, claims adjusters, and service providers who help us deliver our services. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Recording, retention, and implied consent
All communications with our brokerage, including phone calls, voicemails, emails, text messages, video calls, online form submissions (including Typeform quote requests), and in-person interactions with our employees, may be recorded, monitored, and retained for quality assurance, training, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and to maintain an accurate record of your file. By calling us, submitting a quote form or other online form on our website, sending us an email or text, or otherwise interacting with our employees, you provide your implied consent to the collection, use, recording, and retention of your personal information for these purposes. Recordings and records are stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
6. How we protect it
We use physical, organizational, and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, secure storage, and staff training. While no system is perfectly secure, we work to limit risk and respond to incidents promptly.
7. How long we keep it
We retain personal information and communications records only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected and to meet legal, regulatory, and insurance industry retention requirements.
